VISION:Our vision is to provide a sports, fitness and enrichment program to improve the health and well-being of everyone we serve. We want our youth to have the confidence to dream big and enable our adults to create better opportunities for themselves and those around them.

MISSION:Our non-profit organization seeks to create opportunities for underprivileged youth through sports, fitness training and enrichment activities.

"Adopt-A-Boxer" Program

We want to take a moment to show appreciation for Ms. Dominique Bacchus for her monetary donation to our youth boxing organization! Her generous support helps our program continue to grow. Her support not only benefits our organization’s youth boxing program, but also benefits many kids in the community in need of developing personal values such as discipline, confidence, commitment and respect.

We want to thank Dr. Tiese Roxbury for her generous donation to our Adopt-A-Boxer program. Her support helps us better serve the youth that participate in our program. We sincerely appreciate her contribution to our growth. It is because of people like her, that we are able to keep our youth involved in constructive activities, helping them to continue to dream big and create better opportunities for themselves.

Part of our mission is to make sure that no child gets turned away from our program. Some of our youth have big dreams; and it is up to us to nurture their aspirations. As part of our Adopt-A-Boxer program, we are raising money for our incoming youth who may want to learn the sport of boxing, but may not have the resources to cover the costs of equipment, insurance and/or training. In order to help create better opportunities for underprivileged youth wishing to join our program, we ask for your support. If you would like to donate funds, to sponsor a youth boxer for one year, please contact us via the "contact us" link at the top left of the page. Your sponsorship of a youth boxer would include: boxer's insurance, boxing shoes, boxing gloves, handwraps and mouthpeice. Your donations are not only tax-deductible, but will also make a difference in a child's dreams to unlock his/her potential.

Put The Guns Down,

Pick The Gloves Up

When it comes to the youth in our community, Cape Fear Boxing is doing it's part to keep kids actively engaged in constructive activities. We have teamed up with No Limit Sports N More and Support The Port Foundation, Inc. to bring you "Put the Guns down! Pick the Gloves Up!" Boxing Clinic.

Support The Port Foundation, Inc will try to knock out the gun violence in Wilmington, N.C. with Put The Guns Down! Pick The Gloves Up! Boxing Clinic. Citizens of the Wilmington community will be able to come out to No Limit Sports & More Boxing Center, and enjoy a good workout, a few good boxing matches, and more. Due to all of the shootings and killings taking place in the Wilmington area, Support The Port feels like it’s time to go back to the basics. Back to the basics when people used to solve their issues with their hands and not with guns. Even though Support The Port is for a 100% non-violent community, we also understand that people live to see another day with hand-to-hand combat compared to never seeing another day again, when it comes to gun violence. Also, learning these skills can protect them from oncoming danger. The event will be hosted by Wilmington native Professional Boxer Lamar “Boxing Que” Russ (as seen on HBO and Showtime). The event will start off with a full boxing workout with Lamar and the trainers of No Limit Sports N More, followed by a Meet & Greet with Lamar, the trainers and sports leagues from around Wilmington. Parents will learn details on how to sign their kids up for these after school programs. A WPD representative will also be there to discuss gun laws. The event will end with a few sparring matches and guests will be able to get a few rounds in themselves with the inflatable “sock em boppers” gloves. Free Food, Live Music, Games, Giveaways, and more!

1st Annual Canned Food drive

Our youth boxing team conducted its first canned food drive. We began collecting cans by having our kids bring in canned goods from home as well as from people they knew. We  planned to collect at least 100 canned goods to donate to a shelter before Thanksgiving holiday.  We exceeded our goal and was able to give more than 140 pounds of food to The Good Shepherd! The underlying theme of our enrichment activity  was to give our youth a sense of making a difference in their community by giving back to those in need.  We aimed to teach our kids that you don't need a lot to give back because there is always someone in need. We hope the lesson was learned!

  Ringside Partnership

Cape Fear Boxing's youth boxing program would like to give a special thanks to Ringside for their contribution to our program's growth.  Nicknamed "The Best in Boxing," Ringside has helped defer some of the costs associated with  upgrading our gym with Ringside-approved equipment. Ringside heavy bags, double-end bags and speed bag platforms line the floors of our main training areas. Our top quality equipment gives our gym a new look and new level of motivation for training our youth to new limits.

Band on Fire kept the entertainment exciting during "Rise and Grind".  Lead vocalist, Willliam "Boz" Bostic displayed his skills singing our favorite R&B, Pop, Funk & Rock from artists such as Prince, Pharrell, Bruno Mars, Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Bon Jovi, AC/DC, Quiet Riot, The Bullet Boys etc.

By providing hope and positive vision, Optimists bring out the best in kids.  Their generous support made "Rise and Grind" possible.  Optomist Club of the Port City is a premier volunteer organization that values all children and helps them develop to their full potential.Their purposes include inspiring respect for the law; to promote patriotism and work for international accord and friendship among all people; to aid and encourage the development of youth, in the belief that the giving of one’s self in service to others will advance the well-being of humankind, community, life and the world.
